Terms of Service

1. What TrainMate is

TrainMate is a marketplace that connects customers with independent coaches, gyms, businesses, clubs, wellness professionals, and stores ("providers"). Providers are independent third parties, not TrainMate employees or agents.

TrainMate is not a party to the service a provider delivers. We provide the platform for discovery, booking, and communication; the actual coaching, training, or service is delivered directly by the provider under their own terms and policies.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure. You're responsible for activity under your account.

You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to create an account.

3. Bookings and cancellations

A booking is an agreement between you and the provider. Each provider sets their own cancellation and refund policy, shown on their profile before you book ("Booking Policies") — TrainMate does not set or override it.

Booking confirmation may be automatic or require the provider's manual review, depending on how that provider has configured their listing.

4. Provider listings and claims

Some listings on TrainMate are unclaimed — created from public information, not yet managed by the business itself. If you're the real owner of an unclaimed listing, you can request to claim it; claims are reviewed manually before ownership is granted.

Claimed providers are responsible for the accuracy of their own listing content.

5. Reviews

Only a customer with a real, completed booking may leave a review for that provider, and only once per booking. TrainMate does not create, edit, or solicit reviews on a provider's behalf.

6. Payments

Real in-app payment processing is being rolled out. Where it's available, payments are processed by a third-party payment provider — TrainMate does not store your full card details. Where it isn't yet available for a given booking, payment is arranged directly with the provider.

7. Prohibited conduct

Don't misrepresent yourself or a business, post fraudulent listings or reviews, attempt to bypass booking/payment flows, or use the platform for anything unlawful.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

TrainMate is provided "as is." We don't guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any provider's services — you engage a provider at your own discretion.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrainMate isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or a provider's services.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the platform develops. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date on this page.
